Road Trip Kansas #1

Every couple of months I try and take some time over a weekend and take a road trip around Kansas.  I love seeing the small towns and taking the little highways to see what I can find.  So... here is Road Trip #1.  Enjoy! ~ @RoyceOnTheRadio

I began my trip by stopping at Lindsborg, Kansas.  i love this town.  It has so much history and tradition that every time I am near it I make sure and stop by.  This is a wonderful bridge welcoming you in Swedish while entering the town.

A couple miles away from Lindborg is Coronado Heights.  This has one of the best views in Kansas.  From the top of the hill you can see for miles.

Some how I found myself in Rush County in the middle of no where.  As i was driving down the highway I saw a grain elevator with the town Alexander around it.  On the edge of this small town was a wonderful old high school built in 1916.  There were some busted out windows and the inside was gutted, but the outside of the school was still in wonderful shape.

I finally destination before heading home were the monument rocks in Gove County.  I had always wanted to travel and see them so I was excited when I pulled off the main highway and started seeing them when I pulled up on the dirt road.  I ended up spending most of the afternoon there taking pictures and walking around.
