During winter I pretty much lay dormant.  I hate getting out and exploring around Kansas in the cold, so I don't get out as much as I want to.  But at the beginning of the year there were some nice days so I was able to get to a couple Kansas towns.  One of them was Lincoln, Kansas.  Now Lincoln, Kansas is always a place I had heard of.  I have an aunt who was born and raised there.  So in a weird way I felt like I knew the place already.  Lincoln is known as "The Post Rock Capital of Kansas" for all the post rock limestone in the area.  There is even a Post Rock Motel!

I kept wondering what it was like for my cousins who would spend some of their summers in Lincoln when they were young.  I am sure after the second day that they were bored out of their minds.  I was even able to find the old high school that my aunt attended.  It is no longer in use, but it was cool to see none the less. - Royce
