Quite a few ask me why I still use 35mm film to take my pictures. The answer is quit simple... It slows me down. I came to realize that using a digital camera I would sometimes take 10 or 12 photos of the same thing trying to get a certain look. I would end up worrying so much the look of the photo that I would lose the focus on what is most important and that is what is inside the frame. I also came to realize that I would always focus on the newest or best camera that was coming out, or which one had the most megapixels. It is not about those things at all. For me photography is an outlet and also a get away. So who cares if I don't have the latest camera. It isn't really even about that with me anymore.
Of course nothing looks as good as film. I was using VSCO filters to recreate the look of film, so I figured why not just use film! Most of all it is the process. From going out and shooting a roll of film, to coming back home and developing the film, to scanning. I truly fell in love with the entire process of using film form beginning to end. ~ @RoyceOnTheRadio
